Green Wave Place Four on AVCA All-Region Volleyball Team Four members of the Tulane volleyball team were named to the AVCA All-Region Teams as Sara Radosevic, Bridget Wells and Jenn Miller earned First Team honors, while Ksenija Vlaskovic was named Honorable Mention. Tulane Volleyball Adds Serbian National Player, Visnja Djurdjevic The Tulane volleyball program added another Junior National Player, as head coach Liz Kritza announced the signing of Visnja Djurdjevic of Serbia. The 6-1 outside hitter from Zitiste, Serbia, was part of the Serbian Junior National Team, which finished in the top five in Europe in 2006. Volleyball Signs Jordaliz Mercado of Puerto Rican Junior National Team Tulane volleyball head coach Liz Kritza announced that setter/right side hitter Jordaliz Mercado has signed with the Green Wave and will join the team for the 2008 season. The native of Caguas, Puerto Rico is a setter her country's Junior National Team and spent the 2006 campaign with the National Team. Wins over USC, Texas A&M Highlight Volleyball's Weekend at Texas Tornados Tournament The Tulane volleyball team picked up a pair of wins at the Texas Tornados Spring College Tournament over the weekend, taking 2-1 decisions over USC, a team which advanced to the final four in the fall, and Texas A&M. |
