Tulane Volleyball Announces TV Schedule, Match Times
Aug. 15, 2008
Full 2008 Tulane Volleyball Schedule NEW ORLEANS - The Tulane volleyball team will have a pair of nationally televised matches on CBS College Sports this season, as the Green Wave announced its match times Thursday. Tulane's Conference USA match at UAB on October 5, and a C-USA contest at Houston on October 26 will air nationally on CBS College Sports. "Doubling the number of matches on TV from last season is a sign that the volleyball community is recognizing the growth of our program," head coach Liz Kritza said. "We have had success on national TV, with wins in each of the last two seasons. We will try our best to keep that streaking going in 2008, especially considering the C-USA tournament final will also be on CBS College Sports." In addition to the televised matches, Tulane will feature streaming video of every home match and every Conference USA match online at TulaneGreenWave.com via Green Wave All-Access. The Green Wave also announced their finalized match times for all 30 regular season matches, including the Allstate Sugar Bowl at Fogelman Arena. The Green Wave will play Jacksonville State at 7 p.m. on Sept. 12, and then on Sept. 13 at 11 a.m. against North Dakota State and at 8 p.m. against Maryland. For the rest of Tulane's home slate, Sunday matches will begin at 1 p.m., and home matches on any other day of the week will begin at 7 p.m. The Green Wave continues to prepare for the upcoming 2008 season with daily practice and team meetings. "The team came in physically prepared to continue with their training for the upcoming season," Kritza said. "I like what I see in the gym thus far, but we have a lot of work ahead of us. This is the first week and our players know they can continually elevate their level of play."
Tulane opens the regular season on August 29, against Missouri at the BYU Molten Classic in Provo, Utah at 5 p.m. CT. The Green Wave will also take on BYU and Utah State on August 30. On September 1, Tulane will play host to MEAC champion Florida A&M in the home opener at 7 p.m. at Fogelman Arena. |
