2004: Played in 10 games on special teams and in the secondary. Recorded 24 tackles, including 16 solo takedowns. Snagged his first career interception against TCU (11/27), picking off the Horned Frogs' last-second effort for the end zone to secure the Green Wave's upset victory. Posted a season-high five tackles (four solo) in the victory over Army (11/13). Notched a four-tackle performance against Louisville (12/4). Had three tackles, including his first career sack, against Florida A&M (9/11). Also returned two kickoffs against Louisville for 36 yards, including a 26-yard return. 2003: Saw action in all 12 games with five starts (four at left corner and one on the right side). Tallied 40 tackles (24 solo) including a pair of tackles for loss, while leading the team with seven pass break-ups. Registered four tackles, one tackle for loss and three pass break-ups while also recovering a fourth-quarter fumble and returning it 35 yards for a touchdown in the opener against TCU (9/1).Notched a career-best seven tackles (three solo) against Southern Miss (11/15). Had six games with five or more tackles. 2002: Played in all 13 games, recording four solo tackles. Had a career-best two tackles against Southern (8/31). Also added tackles against Navy (10/26) and in the bowl victory over Hawai'i (12/25). Primarily contributed on special teams for the Green Wave. 2001: Redshirted the season. HIGH SCHOOL: Played quarterback, defensive back, running back, wide receiver and returned kicks during his prep career. Second team all-conference choice in 2000. Named the Outstanding Quarterback in the American Division of the Western Conference despite missing three games with a sprained ankle. Captained the team as a senior and, as the quarterback, led the team to its first playoff appearance in 27 years. As a junior, averaged 9.2 yards per carry at running back and 35.4 yards per kickoff return. Scored twice on kickoff returns as a junior, including a 100-yard runback. Team recorded its best record in school history (10-1) in 1998. Won the Florida Class 6A 200-meter state championship as a sophomore in a time of 21.2 seconds. Was runner-up in the 100 meters.
