TULANE: Begins his first playing season.

2007 (FRESHMAN): A walk-on... did not play; received a red-shirt season.

HIGH SCHOOL: Three-year letterman at Holy Cross high for coach Barry Wilson... earned All-Catholic League honors as a senior and helped the Tigers advance to the second round of the state playoffs twice... also earned three letters in power lifting where he won two state championships and the Junior Olympic Super Heavyweight title from 2005-07... off the field, was a member of the National Honor Society and graduated with high honors... awarded Holy Cross' Tiger Award and the Katrina Award for returning to the school following the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

PERSONAL: A history major... born Edward Duke Krause on Feb. 24, 1989, in New Orleans, La.... one of two sons of Ed and Janice Krause... brother's name is Douglas... father played football at Tulane.
