High School: Three-year letterman at Neville High where he saw time as a cornerback and quarterback for coach Mickey McCarty...earned all-district and News Star All-Northeast Louisiana honors all three prep seasons...as a senior, threw for 1,187 yards and 14 touchdowns while running for 625 yards and five scores on 75 carries...earned all-state honors as a junior after passing for over 1,500 yards and snaring five interceptions while helping the team to the state semifinals...also lettered four years in track and field and once in basketball...off the field, was a member of the honor roll and was named Mr. Neville All-Around Student-Athlete of the Year.
