Two-in-a-Row: Dickerson Leads Tulane Basketball to Second Straight Winning Season One year ago, Tulane took its first step toward re-establishing a program that made eight appearances in postseason play from 1999-2000 by posting a 17-win season. That win total marked the program's first winning season in four years and just the second over a span of seven years. Former Tulane Basketball Icons Clark, Thompson Inducted into Louisiana Basketball Hall of Fame Two former Tulane basketball greats and a nationally-known official from Lafayette were the major honorees at the 34th Annual Louisiana Association of Basketball Coaches Awards Banquet this past Saturday night. Tulane's Gomez Named to All-Louisiana First Team Tulane senior forward David Gomez added one more accolade to his already extensive season resume with his selection to the All-Louisiana first team by the Louisiana Sports Writers Association (LSWA). Tulane's Dickerson Named the NABC District 8 Coach of the Year Tulane University men's basketball coach Dave Dickerson was one of 15 head coaches from around the nation to receive all-district coaching honors from the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC). Dickerson was named the NABC District 8 Coach of the Year, and was the only coach from Conference USA to receive the national award. Tulane Falls to No. 2 Memphis in C-USA Tournament Quarterfinals, 75-56 The second-ranked Tigers jumped out to an early double-digit lead and downed the Green Wave 75-56 in the quarterfinals of the C-USA Tournament. David Gomez led Tulane with 18 points, and Robinson Louisme added 13 on 6-of-7 shooting. |
